I actually saw wide legs this year from Ralph Lauren and Eileen Fisher, in their spring offerings. I didn't move fast enough and they sold out pretty quickly in my size, but keep looking. They are out there!

Here is a link to another pair RL has now http://www.ralphlauren.com/pro.....mpaign=CSE

I used to really feel the same way. I really love navy, and for the last few years, it's been easy to find, so I have been hoarding. But I must admit, that with the Internet it's become really much easier to find almost anything.

The Express Editors are also slightly wider than a bootcut, I would say they are more a wide-legged style than a bootcut, but not a true flare.

Paige has a few flared jeans on their website:
http://www.paigeusa.com/women-flare/l/230

I was also going to suggest trying eBay (the "Hudson" by Citizens of Humanity is also a wide-legged jean for example).

I hear you on trying to stick with something that works.

Ann Taylor's typical suiting trousers heretofore have actually been sort of wide leg (not boot cut). As in, 20" wide at the ankle, and one pair is even a bit wider. These are from 2012 and 2011, though.

I'm currently trying to go a bit narrower and am seeing if their newer version called "straight leg" might be just right, but I agree with you, "straight" is often very fitted through the thigh and knee and I still want that sort of trouser effect where it falls straight from the lower hip.

I have some side-zip wider leg pants that I am hoarding, though.

Oh I feel your pain! Wide legs may not look the best on me but I crave them because they cover my shoes better...then I don't feel as bad about wearing my mandatory gym shoes. All skinnies, ankles and crops are out for me and they are everywhere.

I second the banana republic...looking at several new pairs of wide legs. White House has some very cute trouser jeans, but they are fitted until the knee, not really wide leg.

Rae is right, many so-called "trouser" cuts are actually wide legs. I often have to have mine taken in, because I love everything until the knee.
I am short so I have to buy jacket styles that are "cropped" to fit me at the right length. I stocked up over the last few years. I'm glad I did because these styles are not in stores now.

I agree with IK about Ebay and Yoox. NYDJ also makes a wide leg that they call "trouser" cut, so you can look for that style too when searching the net. Getwear.com's trouser style also looks like a wide leg to me, and they would work with you to get your desired look. Good hunting! I have a pair of wide leg Miss Sixty jeans in the closet I'm hanging onto for dear life.

Thrift stores?

Those made to order/copycat a pair of pants websites. I think Rae had a pair of jeans made by one of those places that she was pleased with.

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....s-on-order

I just saw some wide leg pants in Banana Republic's new arrivals. I don't know if that works for you in your location. But, what IK said - I hoard when I find the perfect items that are hard to find.

Hm. I buy everything on ebay or yoox - have you looked there? I know I've seen new with tags wide-legs. J Brand made some I loved.

I know friends with similar fit loves - like one who only liked to wear ankle-length skirts - who leap on the trend when it surfaces, then hoard it until it comes around again. Maybe that will work?
Doing photos of daily outfits reminds me (as if I don't know!) that wide leg cut pants suit ME. I have known this for decades no matter what size I am... The problem is everything in store is skinny or a slim straight leg, or even boyfriend s that taper and shortes; bootlegs have a grab at the less than shapely knee. I have some wide legs in my wardrobe but a few things need replacing and the stores/online are devoid of this style. OK maybe I could resort to having some tailored trousers made, but what about jeans? and casual pants? Does anyone else face this problem (and possibly have solutions) with trousers or anything else?
