They always say to wash jeans then hem them. But jeans seem to continue to shorten (slightly) over time. Should we wash them 3 times before hemming? 5 times? Or will one time do? I have a pair of The Limited jeans that fit perfect after the first washing, but now, several washings later, are on the short (my flattest flats) side. I have new jeans from The Limited and Banana Republic and am wondering if I should hem them after the first wash or if I should wash more times before hemming. What are your thoughts? </p>
