For the mohawk, I think you could try to felt it (basically run it through a hot washer and then lay it out flat in the right shape) and then sew it on. You have to use non-superwash wool yarn if you want it to felt. </p> <p>By the way, this yarn will give a very similar look to the original, with the self-striping.
