Commiseration from me as well. I have given up on glasses without nosepads. I have a small bridge (oddly enough -- I sure can't say the rest of my nose is small!) and I hate the way glasses not only slide down but also tend to make my face break out where the frame sits on my nose and upper cheeks.

OMG, I would LOVE to buy my glasses in Asia!! I have this problem even with specs that have nose pads. My prescription is super high and even ultra thin lenses are heavy on me, and my nose has a relatively flat bridge.

Ugh.

No help from me, I'm afraid. But commiseration.

I have this problem too, particularly as the type of specs I like (thick plastic frames) don't have separate nose pads, and I have a very very low nose bridge (typical of many people of East Asian descent). I just live with it to be honest but would love to hear any suggestions.

I have heard that if you buy specs in Japan and other Asian countries, they often take the low nose bridge into account when designing specs. (I believe you have to get the ones made for the Asian market though, not Japanese brand specs made for the American/European market). I also know that some shops that cater to an Asian clientele can modify frames to have nose pads, but I think this may change the overall look of the frames as well.

I have the same problem and no real answer.

But my husband and I were watching "The Jerk" (dating myself horribly here) - remember when Steve Martin invents that thing to hold your glasses up and it ends up making everyone cross-eyed?

do they become unfashionable?

Any tricks for keeping plastic frames in place on your nose? I'm always pushing my specs back up into place.
