Tall boots are a trick for me because of short legs/muscular calves/extra wide feet, so I need to shop when the variety is at is greatest. I love Zappos' shopping filter. I can put in the best size, width, shaft height, etc. and really narrow it down to a manageable number. It felt a bit awkward, as temperatures were still high and people were wearing sandals. But I saw a pair that I really liked and at a reasonable price, so I purchased them. I feared that they might not be available in the end of November when I would need them, and I was right. My toes were so chilly then that sandals weren't even on my radar! Due to a closet purge, I will be in the market for tall boots for wear with dresses and ankle boots or booties for wear with trousers during the fall and winter. I don't want to miss this window of opportunity! When will we find the best selection? I do 99% of my shoe shopping online, so if that schedule differs from B&amp;M, that would be good to know too.
