Still love that jacket!
Like it better in general w/o the scarf because that's the benefit of the collarless jacket.
Another idea, if you're just trying to add another element for interest, is a pendant necklace that picks up the lighter color, as did the scarf. And consider having a longer, linear scarf that knots a bit lower down.
YLF!

This is a marvelous look for your form and persona -- a little bit rugged, a little bit romantic. I think I have a slight preference for the look with the scarf, but I agree that a couple of chunkier scarves would be fab for you when cooler weather hits.

It is nice when your wardrobe plays together like a symphony, instead of scrimmaging like a rugby team! You've laid a great foundation for yourself, buying great pieces and putting the time into styling them before the morning rush hits!

I like it a smidge more with...but like Mary, wonder if a different tie might be better still. And if you're after more scarves, consider a soft rectangle tied as a tie, knotted low...?

LOVE! With and without. I am getting a bit of a poison eye for dangling scarf ends, though. I think I would wear this scarf bandana style -- folded into a triangle and tied in the back.

Thanks, all. Angie, I need more scarves, I guess! I have a beautiful infinity scarf from Vicki, but otherwise nothing chunky. Even this one I opted out of when I left the house. It's still too hot (I didn't need the jacket either--it got muggy out of nowhere).

If I had the body type that did linear really well, I would wear Angie-style linear outfits every day. I think, though, that something romantic/dandy/however you want to call it plays up and balances out my curly hair and curvier body.

Sona, thanks for the apt tunic tip. And these pants aren't leggings; they're kind of like cargo pants without the side pockets. They have some room to them.

Fun outfit option for when the weather actually does cool down some more.

Not looking at replies, but my first instinct is with the scarf!

I can tell your wardrobe is really gelling lately, Nancy. You are looking fab!

Hi Mochi --

You look great!

I like both looks but for you prefer "with scarf" a bit more given how linear the outfit is otherwise -- the scarf's softness echoes your curls and adds that swashbuckler flair that's become part of your style.

Maybe just ask yourself: WWARDD? (What would a romantic dandy do?)

I prefer the look sans scarf, but the outfit is sweet with a scarf too. Maybe a chunkier scarf, Nancy? Or is that not romantic enough?

Fab clutch addition. Amazing subtly-rugged textures from top to toe.

without.

and I would suggest a longer shirt as a solution when you are going to be wearing 'hybrid' jean/leggings.

All in all the colors play really well and you look 'spiffy'!

This is important for me, because I'm disorganized and easily overwhelmed. Not that I don't want more, and more options , but again, life is better for me when I can get dressed in under ten minutes.

Better with scarf, or without, in this case? Without had that Angie integrity. With is romantic, of course. I like both.
