How lovely to have a student like this! She has some nice leadership and executive skills in addition to an interest in style! It’s true that students notice what we wear and how we behave. We are truly role models in every way. I have learned over time that you never know what you may say or do that might have an impact so I always try to be conscientious and positive my actions and words. </p> <p>A recent cute story: I was visiting an elementary classroom, and when I walked in one of the boys said, “Look! On Tuesday, one of my students asked me if I would please wear my green (cargo) jacket the next day. She explained that she was going to wear hers and wanted to ask the teachers to wear theirs. Apparently she has had her eyes on the styles in our building. She asked 4 teachers to wear their green jackets. Yesterday we did. We all showed up wearing our green for the little girl. She didn’t wear hers, because she couldn’t find it and her dad said if they looked for it she would be late for school. Hahaha! Anyway, she was very happy to have “styled” the staff. 3 of the 4 staff wore striped shirts and black pants with our jackets. #uniforms </p>
