Looks great in your size. Now I'll leave you to decide if it's great for your lifestyle and climate. (I know it wouldn't work for me, because I only wear stand alone tops like that in Summer, and I can't stand polyester in Summer).

The smaller size looks amazing on you! Perfect fit.

I'm with smittie about long underwear. Maybe you could find a very thin silk top with long sleeves to wear under the dress?

I agree that the smaller is better.

I would wear a long underwear under it to un-seasonally-confuse it.

Just an FYI: the Gap has a cranberry merino sweater, if you're interested. It is a beautiful colour. So you get the colour without the fuss!

Thank you, Angie!

I can see now at home that I either need to " go small or go home". I had convinced myself otherwise in store and one SA also encouraged the larger size. I have to decide if it should have a place in my closet as an outlier/ experiment for a couple of seasons, or just enjoy the look on others.

LOVE the cranberry flouncy tunic, but you need to size down in it. Great the way you styled it too. I adore #2.

Thanks, skylurker. I have nird one enough tryons with the jacket- such as fall items-to see if it really adds something. I have been bad about having FOMO and adding something that I can use but I don't really need, and also that is more " ok" than fab.
It's funny because I did not go in store with a skirt in mind, but it's a very good item for me, and maybe it's the ONLY one of the lot that fits in well.

The tunic looks too big, imo.
I love the skirt on you, and think it's really chic and appropriate for work, with tucked top. I don't like the proportions with untucked tops.
Not a fan of the long blazer with skirt proportions. Work better with the trousers, but I'd prefer the top tucked - otherwise your torso looks disproportionally long.

Good to have feedback!
I guess I had to bring the dress home to decide; it looks bigger and more shapeless overall. Perhaps I'd like it better in the smaller size after all but really, it's probably too much " fad" for me.
If I had done my wardrobe edit post, I could read my own advice to self: quality , versatility- my own style, not fashion trends; just because I might like some things about something doesn't mean I have to add it. Also, the raspberry is my happy color- more than burgundy- so it makes me want buy things in that color even when they're not right.
Brooklyn, in WHBM I usually wear a 2 jacket and can't wear their jackets that are too busty. I tried this also in a 0 and it helped minimize the shoulder pads a bit but was hard to layer. If a jacket feels stuffed in the armpits I won't reach for it. For skirts I'm between 4 and 6, usually 6 so they won't shimmy up while I'm walking and also, I have a poison eye for creasing across the front with tight skirts, and then will take in the waist if needed.

Thanks for the shoutout UF!

I love the floral skirt on you with the tucked top. I think the dark grey top is a little long.

The Smittie dress is great but only you can say how much you'd wear the dress over pants look. As for wearing it over a skirt: it looks to me like the skirt is not quite tapered enough. With a more tapered skirt it might work. I would also add a belt.

I like the jacket a lot.

And I love the floral jacket in your find and am soooo tempted by it. Do you mind saying what you think the WHBM sizing is like?

I love the floral skirt on you, and like karen13, I think tucked in looks best. The skirt looks really fantastic.

I also like the blazer.

I'm not loving the tunic dress. It looks too big to me, like there's a lot of excess fabric. Maybe that is because you had to size up? I think you can do better.

Keep anything in #8. That outfit looks wonderful on you. I'm not a big fan of the tunic dress. If the V neck is too low, that is a mark against it, and I suspect the ruffled look of the skirt will date it.

I like the floral skirt best and the black jacket looks great and versatile. Tucked in is best. The smittie dress looks great with both the pants and skirt, but I agree it will get less wear - it is more a statement look and you have to be comfortable with making it.

Thanks, andiB and smittie.
These pants aren't " scuba" fabric. These are one of their crops, nit the same as their slim ankle. They are a woven. They work for me because they're " straight" and so aren't ice cream- cone on me like s lot of tapered pants.
I also like the WHBM girlfriend pants though the waist and belt loops are a bit weird.

We look the same in the raspberry dress! I bought it too.
I haven't cut the tags yet, and I think I'm going to return it.
The reason is that it lacks structure and the only way to get it to look "right" is to wear a structured topper with it. I fee like I could do better with a regular top with a bit of length.

Love the skirt, and much prefer it with the top tucked in. (I think all your tops should be tucked in, IMO.) Looks great with the blazer too.

I've now purchased 3 pair of magic pants from whbm and they are great. That scuba (?) fabric is slimming and flattering. I also love 8 best of the others in your post. I hadn't shopped WHBM in years but have purchased quite a few items there in the last year including 3 (ulp) jackets.

I was about to do what I thought ( and think will be ) is a good post on wardrobe editing and culling. I really was. I have been removing items, making myself do one or 2 out for one in, and honing style.
Then I saw the dark florals by Brooklyn (and I already have that bug) and Angie's post today.

The WHBM website avers that the items are not in local stores but phooey, that is usually not true. So I stopped by.

Pics 1-4 are trying a tunic dress. It has a V neck that is too low but I knew I had a tank top in exactly that color. This really MIGHT be imaginary lifestyle for me but I am trying, due to "dress:" style and color, both of which are good for me. It feels very fun. So it is a "wild card" in terms of style but can only, for me,be worn with some kind of pants/leggings. Pics 1-2 are with my WHBM "magic pants" which I've worn all summer and make anything look better--classic blazers, etc. Then, I don't have real leggings but I have some skinny pants in this gray print and some black, not shown. I tried it over a pencil skirt, but that is not very happy for me, more trying too hard to make it work.

5-8 The dark floral skirt was not even on my radar but was there in the store. The colors are great and the reason I like the florals are that I can do sheer hose and lighter colored tops and footwear in warm weather, and opaque tights in fall. Pic 7 is a stretch, it is playing with Brooklyn's example-this is an EF linen knit top I have but it is a little long, so bulky. When doing the FIND I see that there is a floral blazer online! If I were to get a dark floral blazer, this pattern and colors might be it. So I may investigate.
8-9 is the knit military blazer. I already got an olive longer, military jacket from WHBM (out of stock, no Find) and I know I like the longer jackets with some fit. That is part of wearing what I like/like on me. I was not really trying to add BLACK jackets but hey, black is versatile. I think this is an interesting fit because it looks surprisingly okay with the skirt, as well as good with pants--I think due to the slightly fit & flare cut and not looking like a business blazer as much. I can NOT really wear it buttoned--but I am okay with that since I never button.

I am undecided on the "dress" as it is only polyester, not super-versatile and will not likely have a low CPU. Also I might wear it and then get timid. I was between sizes and sized up as the smaller was very tight in armholes and hard to pull off.

Thoughts and comments welcome.

ETA added pic of XXS in pic 10. It does look better. Here is the funny thing-- I am really drawn to it to play with a more "dramatic" look, but it is likely to be a few-time outfit and fussier than my usual, and is somewhat seasonally confused--the dress is thin polyester so sleeves are thin and maybe not even enough for air-conditioning, i.e. would need a topper at the theater, but I have to wear it over pants or leggings so is also not truly dressy ( as would be an actual raspberry DRESS). Also I have an outing this weekend I could wear it to, as in pic 10 but with the block heels shown in prior pics, but I don't want to cut tags just under pressure of wear it for that. My practical self says that for even a tunic, I would do better with something more versatile, long blouse or peplum or something. I know the happy color is a siren call for me, but I can't wear it that often.
