I've seen a lot of very nice puffers, great streamlined wool duffle coats, an amazing assortment of beanies, and awesome boots (lots of Fryes on the streets here since we have only had 1.5 snowstorms this winter, yet). I tend not to pay much attention to the college girls because it is not appropriate for my life, but what really ticks me off is when I see the ladies in their 40s, 50s, and beyond pulling crud like wearing leggings as pants with $400 boots. </p> <p>How fun! </p> <p>Usually I get to see the trends on people here within a few months of it trending because so many of us travel to the city to shop, shop online, or are from somewhere else (college kids, tourists, people visiting on buisness or retreats). Here the trends are mainly leggings and skinny jeans, some high rise and boot cut are coming back. I have been living in sweater dresses with insulated leggings and tights... but the main thing that is the biggest trend is a great pair of boots, both leather ankle boots for dry weather and&nbsp;also really good&nbsp;snow boots for bad weather (we are near the mountains). My school-mom crew is a lot like me - classic, casual t-shirt or tailored sweaters, skinny jeans, tall riding boots. The 30-somethings&nbsp;I hang out with are more into the fluid and oversized&nbsp;fits and leggings, a lot of volume over skinny looks. One group is very into brands - Michael Kors and Coach&nbsp;for bags, MK&nbsp;watches, Tiffany and Pandora&nbsp;jewellery, Lululemon clothing.
