Using materials that will be beautiful but hold up through many performances, trying to incorporate details such as lace and beading that you can't simply buy, determining the original shade of a discolored fabric. 				<description>&#060;p&#062;I thought this video was fascinating. It's profiling the entire start to finish process of making a ballet shoe, which is how all shoes used to be made-layered, made inside out. I'm especially intrigued to see the detail and care that goes into each handmade shoe to make it strong enough for the physical demands of professional ballet, and yet each pair of shoes can probably only be worn for a day at most. The craftsmanship is amazing.&#060;br /&#062;
