The rolling serves to taper the bottom a bit and also to relax the whole look. Or, you could taper and shorten them. I don't see what the problem is with the baggy thighs, especially if you taper the bottoms more as Deborah suggests. But the style is dated (tapered) and they're a wee bit short (yet not quite enough to look cropped). Once I found a pair of spectator ballet flats (flannel and patent) I thought I could make it work.<br /> How did I do?<br /> I had planned on a black tunic-length blouse (to cover the baggy thigh fit) but then realized this white tuxedo- style overblouse gave a better Audrey vibe.<br /> In (3) I have rolled them up once to give what I think is a better length. In (4) I've hiked them up some to get the same effect but less thigh- bagginess, but I don't think they'd stay there. Should I hem them?<br /> At work the sides are covered by my white coat so the baggy thighs are less noticeable.<br /> (5) is of the flats, just because I'm so happy with them. they are comfy enough for a day of Standing, even though most flats aren't.<br /> I have worn the pants twice since these pictures: once with a slouchy black cowl- neck sweater and chain belt, and once with the black tunic blouse and my new heeled booties (no pics yet). That time I had to roll the hems so they would clear the top, they are too short to stay tucked.<br /> Comments? </p>
