Wish I could wear such sparkly dresses in my currently casual lifestyle </p> <p>I don't own a fur coat but I do have a fur hat - not much use for it in my current subtropical humidity, but maybe I'll wear it when I'm back home in a 'real' (snowy) winter once more. </p> <p>Real fur always seemed to require a lot of upkeep to me, until read somewhere that animals of course get wet in nature - so it's okay, so long as you shampoo it afterwards. My mother tried to give away her fur coat years ago but had no takers. This was the time when paint was being thrown on fur coats. Then puffers came along, warm but light weight and easy care. Vintage or not, furs were not worn. Now with a really cold winter and age when I feel the cold.
