annagybe -- that would make color coordination easier :)

scarlet -- you have a great point about the saturation! I totally get what you mean.

Cool shoes! I would think they would be pretty versatile, actually. They would complement denim or black pants especially well and work with all kinds of tops, like burgundy. I don't think you necessarily need green somewhere else. I would just stick with hues of similar saturation/character (don't know the right word, sorry, but burgundy would be an example).

Oooh those are cool! I would almost treat them as black and wear them with anything.

Suz -- Trying out seems like a good way to go I just remember reading somewhere not to match the color of Converse to an outfit, so I was wondering if the same would hold true for these shoes. I think I won't wear them with certain shades of red to avoid the Christmas effect!

Kelly - ooo, I need to get burgundy skinnies! You know, they aren't that high -- they feel like less than 2.5" to me, which is doable

Those are fab! I love the idea of them with some burgundy skinnies! Seems like they would go with so many things--especially black. Can't wait to see them in action. I'm plugging my ears--I don't want to know they are comfy. It's going to make me want a pair and there's no way my cobbler will be able to work his magic on those.

Those are fun!

I think you could wear them lots of ways. Because of the tone, I think they'll work with denim (blue and green are such good neighbours!) and you can also do as you've suggested and wear with burgundy. Echoing green would be fun, for sure! I would just try stuff out and see what happens.

So I've been secretly lusting after annagybe's Isabel Marant wedge sneakers and the Ash Bowies Angie mentioned in a recent blog entry.

Anthro had a forest green pair of Ash Bowies for half-off so I decided, why not give it a shot? I was concerned they might be a bit high for my knees. I got them today and they are surprisingly comfortable! Will try to get photos later.

Anyhow... they are a forest green color. I was wondering, how concerned should I be about echoing green somewhere in my outfit? Or would it be OK just to wear complementary shades, like burgundy? Or should I not be concerned with matching colors? :)

Thanks for your color wisdom!

P.S. Mine are similar to the Ash Beas, in the attached photo; the Bowies have one strap instead of two. The green is more saturated and darker IRL.
