I bought my first pair of 'boyfriend' jeans in the summer of 2011, without even realizing they were bf jeans - just spied a soft, slouchy and interesting looking pair of jeans at Joe Fresh (at the local grocery store if you can believe that) that had the cuffs rolled up. Bought them right away because they were so soft, and something different than all the skinny jeans out there. In any case, I didn't know what to wear with them either - but what ended up looking quite good was these faded, slouchy-ish jeans with cuffs paired with a crisp white button down shirt. Rolled up the sleeves a bit, popped the collar a bit, and wore with a simple pair of red flats. I didn't tuck the shirt, but the shirt was tailored/structured enough that it just seemed to work well with these new jeans. I still like this combination.

Try a button down shirt (not a blouse, but a structured shirt) and see what you think.

Have you tried a lighter weight jacket/blazer that is nicely fitted but has a little structure over some of your tops? I love the look of BFs with jackets/blazers and it can really add a nice shape. Or also I've seen Shannon wear cardis buttoned up as sweaters with her BFs and they look really nice -- a wide belt is usually good with BF jeans (I think).
