Thanks for both he suggestions. I'll give both the options a try. My instinct was to go with the Cami...with jeans I think I'll try the same colour (the sweater is a soft pink in front and a light grey on the back) and then try a contrasting black to wear with black pants or skirt for work.

If you have an underlayer that ends at the same point at the sweater, or intentionally peeks out (like a layered shirt) than to my eye you can go with the same color as the sweater or with a contrasting look. I've found that sometimes the under-layers aren't quite the right length though, especially if the sweater is long/oversized or cropped. Then what works best for me is a cami that exactly matches my pants, so that even if I move around, the topper over a column of color look stays consistent.

Also I have fun with trying lace back tops on backwards to see if they could work that way too, because with a jacket over the sweater the design detail is hidden.

What color is the sweater? If the entire back is sheer, I would probably wear a cami underneath in a color similar to that of the sweater.

Can you post a pic of the sweater?

Hi there, I just bought a sheer-backed sweater and, while I love the look, I'm not sure now what to wear under it. Just a bra? Tank top/cami (and if so, contrasting colour or skin tone?)
Thoughts and ideas would be lovely!
