Easy to slide from RATE to hot mess, quite honestly.<br /><br />Firecracker - The new coat doesn't feel big <i>per se</i> (although it feels bigger than it did originally, like the sleeves got longer, which is weird), but it looks kinda baggy to me in the photo. Whereas when I was trying it on in the store, the fit was snug and smart, the shoulder line a lot sharper.<br /><br />I tried to take another photo of the coat, but it came out dark again. It would be nice if y'all could have a better idea of the colour.<br /><br />I don't think camis/tanks are gonna work with the sweater (drat). The sweater, it turns out, is kinda scratchy on bare skin. The long sleeved white shirt is probably gonna be my best bet. Was looking through my closet, I do have some other silky blouses with round hems... some rounder than others. Also, I'm wondering if the new JCP $14 high-low silky shirt would work. Straight hems, tho.<br /><br />Rae - that's a good idea about a column of colour under the sweater. I'm gonna have to think about that. The question is, what colour? Great finds on the sweater and silky sweatshirt!<br />For the high-low sweater, I like the way you're wearing it, over a tee, with a similar neckline. I wear a similar sweater like that, but I like to tuck in the underlayer, so I have just the high-low sweater hem showing (as long as it's a good length in front, which I think yours is). I find I like that better than adding another hemline to a sweater that already has two of them. I really love this sweater, but all of a sudden I'm drawing a blank as to what to wear under it. Maybe I was wearing turtlenecks, but I'm putting them away now. A long, curved-hem silky shirt would be nice, but I don't have one. I am hoping for suggestions...<br /><br />Pic #2 is of a Guess coat I picked up at Burlington Coat factory. Just did a big purge of wool coats (I give up on ones that hit at the waist, too drafty) and am restocking. It's a petite medium that I thought might be on the small side, but now it's like it's grown huge on me. Don't know that olive green is my best colour. Also, I feel both dressy and casual in this coat at the same time. A bit weird. But it's working well for me on the weather front (sunny but icy cold wind). <br /><br />Pic #3 is JCP stuff. I had to go back to JCP. I got this pin striped skirt and the oversized silky sweatshirt. The skirt is a size 6, my usual, but nonetheless a little large, which makes it sit lower, which I rather like. Am wearing my suede booties but I'm wondering if they're too wintery for spring. I also got that $25 blouse for $14, two more solid hi-low Joe Fresh blouses (for which I've been feeling the need for ages), and a nice pair of electric blue pants. I made it out of there for about $180, which I think is pretty good for so many things. The Joe Fresh blouses are really well sewn.<br /><br />Comments welcome!<br />
