<p>Yes to metallic! Or shoes + bag in a contrasting color like red or hot pink would be fun too!

<p>My first thought was silver or pewter but I love Bijou’s idea of a blue patterned fabric.

<p>If you still have red hair, I guess shoes in a similar colour--e.g. peach, orange, burnt orange, rust or warm gold--would be a lovely way of bookending your hair. Also, shoes in blue plus one of these warm colours would be an amazing way of echoing your colouring as well as your dress. These colours would also be gorgeous for accessories, bag, and shawl/wrap.

<p>I was going to say silver/grey or soft/blush/millennial pink, but now to be contrarian I’ll point out that blue &amp; gold is a great combination. Going that route, or with bronze shoes (great fall color) would be right in line with Angie’s warm &amp; cool post yesterday.

<p>Well Bridgie my dress for my daughter’s wedding is cobalt blue and I have chosen silver shoes, clutch and wrap with sapphire necklace, earrings and ring. You will need warmer for your time of year but silver( or gold, or bronze) could be a good theme.

<p>Bridgie - Navy or royal blue works with most colours. Metallics are always a good versatile shoe, also nude pumps - elongate the legs and are flattering with all colours.</p>
<p>For me, I have a scarf print kitten heel - that I wear with all sorts of colours and find incredibly versatile.
</p>
<p>My shoes (and matching scarf) are in finds to give you an idea of what I am talking about.</p>

<p>I would go for silver or gold or pewter - or a similar blue. Definitely comfort rules!!</p>
<p>Or a pink could be nice too. </p>
<p>Do you have a bag and coat or wrap?</p>
<p>It sounds lovely and exciting to plan for.

<p>I wore a blue dress to DSs wedding that was between navy and royal blue. I wore silver metallic kitten heels as I do not wear heels. I carried a small silver metallic clutch and wore sparkly blue earrings and necklace with silver hardwear. The silver felt lighter and more festive than black or even navy leather. If you want a color, think rose pink or deep peach. Consider your hair color. Will you need a topper? I used a beautiful iridescent large scarf in blues and other deep colors to cover my shoulders in church for the ceremony..<br />
I am wishing you the best as it is a lot of pressure knowing that what you wear will be seen way beyond your lifetime in photos of the event.

<p><div>I had mentioned earlier on that I have a wedding to attend early next month.</div><div>At the time there was a lot of confusion on my part what I should wear or might be expected to wear.&nbsp; I did not mention any of that part.&nbsp; I just went into holding pattern or maybe call it "take a deep breath".</div><div>Now I have a dress for semi-formal dress request.&nbsp; I am not real good at identifying colors by correct name, so I thought the dress was navy when I purchased it.&nbsp; After looking at it I thought it was too light or maybe better word is too bright to be considered navy.&nbsp; So I looked at the tag for first time and it says royal blue which I agree it is closer royal than navy.&nbsp; However only one other person has seen the dress and says it is navy.</div><div>I only mention this because I am trying to describe the color to you.&nbsp; I like the dress, it fits very nicely, royal and/or navy are both good colors for me</div><div>I have been on line looking for accessories.&nbsp; I am planning to go shopping tomorrow at a large mall, which includes Nordies and plenty of other stores.&nbsp; More than I will go to.&nbsp; I do have someone going with me who has a great eye for color and all the details.</div><div>To get to the point.&nbsp; What color shoes should I look for?&nbsp; And I will appreciate just as much input as you care to give me to help finalize this.</div><div>I used to wear high heeled shoes, but can not do so now.&nbsp; Two inches is maximum and even lower would be better.&nbsp; <br /></div><div>I do have some ideas in mind, but am not posting them now because I want to get your ideas.&nbsp; Thank you!!&nbsp; <br /></div><div><br /></div>
