You could wear tights underneath to keep warm ( like the great fleece tights that Angie wrote about ) and this would allow you to wear your boots ( wear double socks). I love the accessories....I also like the idea of a flannel/plaid tunic with ruffles ( outdoorsy but feminine and in pretty colors ).
