Thanks everyone!

I'm off to find a blazer later (I have been dying for one and this is my excuse!) - I'll let you know what I buy!

So excited!

Oh and Janet... WOW!

Hey, I saw them too in November! They were fantastic. In all these years (I've been a fan for 20 years) I had never seen them in concert.

Your outfit idea sounds great. I wear that combination all the time. For what it's worth, when I went, I wore a knee-length black dress and combat boots. I wanted comfortable flats because I knew I'd be standing the whole time, and combat boots seemed fitting for the Chilies. Keep that in mind -- I wouldn't wear boots you can stand up in for long!

I think what you're wearing is perfect. If you wanted to change it up you could try a fitted black t-shirt under the shirt, but I prefer your look with the black blazer. Flat footwear is ideal with all the steep seating! I recently saw Aerosmith, and it was Nov and cold so I'd worn a thick short skirt over leggings and boots, a jewel toned full sleeved blouse, and a cropped cardigan buttoned up. I wore a coat over all this which I took off after entering the arena and was comfortable the entire concert. I also carried one of those cross body bags so that my hands were free when carrying beverages.

Ditto to comfy/tough boots so you don't mind so much if your feet get stepped on (assuming this is a non-seated show). Climate control is so unpredictable in concert venues I usually wear a light shirt (your tee idea is perfect) and an easily carried jacket in case it warms up with all the dancing bodies.

Have fun! I introduced the Chili Peppers onstage, oh, longer ago than I care to admit, back in their younger, wilder days. (I was a radio host and did that sort of thing a lot.) You'll have a blast, I'm sure!

Ditto the jeans, comfy shoes, and T (yes, your rock print T shirt idea is perfect). If you have a seat, wear whatever jacket you want (leather/pleather is never wrong for rock); if you'll be up dancing, I advise something light enough to comfortably carry + has pockets that zip so you don't need a purse.

jeans, a rock or print t-shirt, flat boots or converse, a layer for warmth in case it's chilly (leather jacket/blazer/cute sweater). Have fun!

I would go for jeans, flat boots (for comfort), a blouse and a leather biker jacket!

We're going to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert on Saturday night. I normally wear a standard uniform of jeans and a black top to things like that, but I saw some pretty cool rock print t shirts at cotton on a few days ago... so I was thinking maybe a print t-shirt, jeans, boots and black blazer (depending on the weather)

What would you wear to a rock concert?
