This won't be helpful, but opiskelijahaalari is attire I associate with pub crawls. With layers underneath.

I think I wear the sculpted jacket, I haven't worn in forever and I was wondering if it had become an orphan. I'll have to test it with boyfriend jeans, as I've only worn it with ponte skinnies. I might try my R13 moto skinnies too. My friend who will be there has seen me a lot recently in my leather leggings.

Do you want to stick with your original, if possible? Maybe wooly sweater tights that you could wear under your shorts? And a long puffer coat? I'd wear something heavier as a coat over something lighter as an outfit, that way you can be cozy going from place to place, but not overheated inside the warm bar/pub.

I think you need something warmer than shorts and long socks. Although I think that outfit would look cool and I would enjoy seeing a picture of it. I like the idea of a shorter sleeved top with a coat that can be taken off if it is warm inside the pubs.

Hm, would a cashmere or any type of sweater be too warm? I also agree with the warm to cold to warm comments -- I always find it warm inside bars and pubs. So I usually wear short sleeves and a heavy jacket, or if I want an extra layer something like a tank, a lightweight moto, and an outdoors coat over that.

What Londonkiwi says about going from cold and wet to warm and dry a bunch of times is true (for just about any pub crawl I've ever been on). Why does it always rain on pub crawl nights? Not that I've been on one for many years... Anyway, back then I didn't fuss much about my clothes. I mostly wore some variation of heavy leather boots, jeans, and lightweight top, bare arms, and a warm heavy coat I could take off the coat inside. I'd probably still wear a variation of that. Pub crawls usually involve a lot of sitting and drinking, and not really dancing, so what you wear on your bottom half won't matter much for the indoor parts. And for the outdoor parts, you mostly want to be able to walk and not have wet feet. Your riding boots seem a good idea.

My issue with pub crawling it is a battle of the elements (will you be walking pub to pub?), plus it is always warm inside and cool outside - what will you be wearing under your turtleneck, should you get too hot?

Wrap up is my number one suggestion. The weather is nasty at the moment.

Chunky oversized sweater, leather pants, flat booties, topper, and an adorable cap or newsboy.

Anna - do you have leather shorts? Black tights, boots, can still do cashmere turtle but do a fabulous jacket plus minus scarf? Agree I would choose warmth over style any day!! Also leather leggings with fab blazer combo?

Comfort first.

I am unfamiliar with the formality of the pub crawls in your area. By me, they are pretty informal and involve imbibing a lot of spirits. So, something you wouldn't care if beer was spilled on . . . but then, I live in Wisconsin.

So, tomorrow night I'm doing a pub crawl with my activity group. I had thought about wearing black cashmere turtleneck, Pendleton patterned wool shorts, OTK wool socks and black riding boots. But the forecast says it'll be in the 40's and rainy. So I might end up with blue thighs, which wouldn't go with shorts because they're tan, red and black.
Suggestions?
