I like the board shorts idea - very comfortable and they dry quickly.

Just went looking, and here's a cute pair on the Nordstrom site:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/la.....sultback=0

According to the item description, these particular shorts run large, and further - the XL is a size 18...you might want the regular size L in that case, since all the reviews say these board shorts run a size bigger than expected.

There are lots of these types of shorts around - longer, some with fun colours and so on. I think these would be just the ticket for watersports. I have a couple of pairs of these - not the Nordstrom ones, can't recall where I got mine (Sears maybe?) and I also find them handy for lounging around at the pool on vacation if I'm feeling funny about my flabby legs.

Sounds fun!!!!! Wear rashguards and board shorts for max coverage and quickdryiing clothes.

You could wear your one piece plus board shorts. Here's a link to board shorts, the first I found googling, but they come in lots of colors from all sorts of places.

http://www.landsend.com/pp/Aqu.....-data_feed

Also, if you are not too hot, you can also wear a rashguard with a running bra if you want more coverage. (Edit: PLUS the boardshorts!) I wear a rashguard all the time to protect my back from the sun. This one is short sleeve, but I wear a long sleeve for max coverage.

http://www.amazon.com/Columbia.....B004OIQK0S

I am plus as well.... I like to wear a lot of tube type skirts when I work out (over leggings)... I have seen running type skirts that would probably work well for paddle boarding ... I think it sounds like great fun, something I would like to try.... GL on the search!

I am plus size (18) with big thighs and hate to parade in a bathing suit. I recently tried paddleboarding and want to continue, however I am feeling way to exposed in just a bathing suit. For my lesson, I wore a one piece bather with a knee length yoga pant.

Do you have any suggestions for water sports for plus size women ie: jet ski, paddl boarding.>
