Camera, hat with visor, sunnies, layers so you can adjust depending on how hot/cold you feel….also sun screen for everyone! Maybe binoculars?

The wind will be a huge factor. What Jenn said. Windbreaker and warm layers. Consider bringing a warm beanie that will stay on in the wind, even gloves. Wear sneakers and socks. It will be colder than you think out on the water. Ring snacks and maybe a thermos of something hot to drink.

I just found out a little more info- there will be snacks and water. The cruise will be all filled with people from other homeless services, etc. We all get free t-shirts lol
rachy- that's what I was thinking: sweatshirt, jacket, gloves and beanie shoved in the pockets.
I was able to grab a bunch of sweatshirts from the store to hand out before we go.

Wear layers and comfortable/flat shoes. I’m on the other coast but I’ve always been cold on those cruises, no matter what time of year.

Due to COVID, the cruise company may not be able to offer blankets and the like as FI suggests. ☹️

agree with @rachy. need windproof. also gloves and a scarf if you really run cold. if you don't need them, you can loan them out--someone will be under dressed.

I’d wear a sweatshirt not a sweater, plus jacket, nothing the wind whistles through. And a beanie to cover the ears.

Sometimes cruises have blankets or jackets to loan out to people caught unawares by the cool temps on the water. If yours doesn't, you might want to see if the women can borrow sweatshirts or something from the shop on campus.

Enjoy the cruise!

I went on a cruise on SF Bay a few years ago on the Jeremiah O’Brien, a WW2 Liberty ship. It was a little bit cooler to start with, and I had a sweater and windbreaker, but I froze. You have the ambient wind plus the speed of the boat, and that’s how windy it feels. If you have a little knapsack, put a hat and extra layer or two to take with you. And if you don’t need it, so much the better.

I did a whale watching cruise in Long Beach last year, just before the lockdown started, so it was still winter. It was VERY cold. I wore a wool sweater, puffer vest, stocking cap, and scarf, and was freezing. mostly from the wind.

Right now, it won't be as cold, but definitely bring something you can put on to block the wind, and wear pants rather than a skirt or dress. (I wore jeans and was fine...water wasn't really an issue. Binoculars would have been great, though!)

Sounds great! It's definitely colder on the water- so yes to an extra layer. Maybe a windbreaker type jacket. Fabrics that dry quickly are good- so not jeans or anything heavy. Snacks, water, and binoculars if you have them.

We got a last minute opportunity to take our ladies at work on a Harbor Cruise tomorrow. Of course- I offered to drive!
I've never done one of these Harbor Cruises. The weather report for tomorrow is high of 80 degrees F and partly sunny. I know I'll need an extra layer (or two, I run cold), and rubber soled shoes.
What should I wear/bring?
