I work shea butter into my cuticles, which tend to get really dry this time of year. I also use it on my lips in addition to my regular lip moisturizer.

Another big fan of argan oil - I use it on my hair, my body, my face. I've tried a couple brands, and unfortunately find the most expensive brand is the best (Josie Maran). I use the JM oil on my face and JM hair oil, but a cheaper brand on the rest of my body.

I'm with Viva. Coconut oil is amazing and CHEAP (at the grocery store) and literally makes everything better. (Weirdly, it even made my nails whiter somehow.). I use it mostly on hair, feet, and sometimes my face. Downside: you smell like a macaroon. But there's worse things.

I've begun to layer a couple of products on my face when just my regular moisturizer wasn't doing the trick. First I put on a serum (Loreal from the drugstore, feels like an oil), I let it absorb, then I put on my moisturizer (I use Cetaphil 50 SPF, which is very thick and rich). This has helped a lot. At night I put the serum on again.

Once or twice a week I use straight coconut oil on my body after bathing. Nothing beats it.

I made a handcream with coconut oil and olive oil. It's really greasy but I only use it at night when I go to bed. There are heaps of recipes for this type of thing on the internet if you want to make a natural alternative that uses ingredients you probably have and is relatively inexpensive. I used to use expensive hand creams but this works better than anything I had tried previously to prevent cuticles from cracking.

I just purchased two products from Aveda that I have elevated to HG status...They are a conditioner and a shampoo called Damage Remedy..hey were pricey but I am just in love with the look of my hair which has gone from dry to smooth and silky...I use these as my main shampoo and conditioner but I think they were meant to be use occasionally...Great winter products...

Could you try a thicker heavier cream perhaps a body butter? Also I've switched to rosehip oil in the evening which seems to have done away with any flakiness off my face. Also a heavier conditioner perhaps one meant as a treatment? Also keep as much skin covered up as possible when you go out to avoid chapping X

I like Argan oil for my hair in the winter and lots of exfoliating for dry skin. I just use sugar in the shower to exfoliate my skin.

I have seen most of the ladies getting tensed about their skin and hair in Winters and so as I. Is there any solution to put on hair despite the conditioner or shampoo for y hair to look shinny. ? And how to cure the roughness of skin if the lotion is not working great?
