Every Fall, I clean and waterproof my shoes and boots for the coming seasons.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have found little difference in the actual product I use. What I have noticed is how much I use at a time makes a difference. I never &nbsp;spray to soak. Just a light spray from a few inches away. That's what the boutique shoe store where I shop recommends. I have used it on a pair of light tan boots. They have survived two Central New York winters and they still look good. I spray everything. BC, I don't think it matters for effectivity, but there are occasionally comments that a spray can permanently darken or spot light colors. There are just enough options on Amazon that I'm nervous about ordering them. I doubt whatever I choose will go Horribly Wrong. But I also figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for personal experiences. </p>
