I like them in theory but they don't work so well for my climate because they get caught on booties somehow and just don't hang right. I'm limited in that tapering and shortening for me would mean never wearing the darn things - but in your climate it would work well. And by the way, those are FAB pants and you look amazing in them. I embrace their awkwardness&nbsp;0:} That said, I'm in agreement with Anna and others that letting them down isn't the best option. If you're going to alter, shorter and narrower is definitely the way to go. </p> <p>EDIT: I feel like I must also say that I am very particular about what this length works with, specifically that they are on the relaxed end and that they are printed. But if that's fine where you are, I would taper and shorten. If you want to wear them over your booties, I would let them out that inch. Keep a vent to let you get them on, or have a zipper put in. By bringing them in that tight, you'll get a much nicer line. &nbsp;BTW, you look absolutely lovely in these. &nbsp;They really show off your lovely shape. I bought them, thinking that I would wear them as is with my black booties and or&nbsp;short heeled shoes.&nbsp; However, they just feel kind of awkward that way.&nbsp; They could be lengthened about 1" - and also, could be tapered at the ankles - what do you think?&nbsp; Should I take the hem down and taper them? - or, wear as is?<br />Sorry about the lousy photos - can't believe there is a reflection right at the ankles - if you can't really tell, because of that reflection, just let me know and I'll take better pics tomorrow!<br />Thank you! </p>
