She had to have surgery, and couldn’t bend her knee for eight weeks, and was on crutches for a long while. Since then, I don’t wear my crocs inside for anything, since I have two dogs. So please be careful with them.</p> <p>I had PF and the podiatrist gave me hard plastic inserts. It’s been nearly twenty years, but I still use them with all of my lace up shoes. </p> <p>I think all of my sandals are casual. The ones that would probably be good for PF are the Dansko sandal clogs. I love wearing them. They feel so good. I also have Naots, that Delurked pictured above. I had plantar fascitis years ago, thought I was done with it, and it came back last week. Switching shoes every day helps, so your foot gets to exercise in varying heel heights. Wearing support around the house is crucial too—I have a birkenstock-style sandal for summer and Haflinger's (the kind with the cork bottom) for winter. It's totally lame but I have to start following my own advice and save fun (zero support) flat shoes for when I'm just arriving someplace and sitting around (ie, like driving to brunch or a party) and wear supportive shoes for any real walking! I've been saying thank goodness the fashion sneaker trend is a thing!
