They do not work for me.</p> <p>Crop tops: I'm 50. Thin on top, but 50. Even a sliver of midriff is a sliver too much. I wear a bikini on the beach but off the beach I cover up. I will wear a cropped sweater over a longer top, but that is it.</p> <p>Harem / dropped crotch pants: Too boho / RATE. I do like to lean RATE but in the context of tomboy, so I need some structure/tailoring to feel like myself. The JCrew Curator pants are kind of the perfect stand-in. They are slouchy "suit pants" that have a bit of dropped crotch but not a bit of boho.</p> <p>Dorsay / Mules / Slides: Fall off my feet.</p> <p>Jumpsuits: Don't suit my style.</p> <p>Flared Midi skirts: They usually require a waist, and I am thick in the middle and short waisted, so these skirts (and fit-and-flare dresses) are out.
