Between 8 to 10% depending on how many replacements are needed. DH needs suits for business so these are a major expense

Our income varies so much depending on whether we are in CA or FL I can't give a % figure. I spend around $1500/year on average on my clothing since starting to keep track. BF spends probably the same overall, but in spurts, like buying two $1500 suits in one year and then no suits for another 5 years.

Think we have as a family been exceeding the 10% budget lately what with my maternity needs and baby stuff (he grows so fast, touchwood). But usually we are around 10-12%.

I spend right around 6-8% after tax. I spend at this level since DD came into our lives as she goes through clothes pretty quickly, and I insist on quality leather shoes for her little feet. Some months I spend less, but then I bank it away for big ticket months like buying winter coats and boots.

I don't differentiate as to who the budget is for. It's one pool, and as I am in charge of 95% of all clothing purchases, it is easy to track. (Yeah, I buy DD nd DHs clothes)

I'm not including husband, who buys work clothes and clothes for cycling, or son. I spend about $50 a month. Currently spending nothing since I'm doing shop your closet to ferret out which are my favorites and what overarching style I prefer. But at that low level of expenditure I wouldn't notice any savings.

This is the topic discussed more than once on YLF.
I got the point that around 10% of average income goes on household clothes/accessories.
Is it the general rule of thumb YLFers follow?
Speaking for myself, it's more than 10% income going to this category.
I understand budget and other things matter too .
So what is YLF followers doing on average?
200$/month on themselves
200-400$/month
Or less than 200$/month
More than 400$/month
My vote for 200-400/month on myself. Not family.

Byw those r my new cole haan pumps. Ah so comfortable.
