They can also be slouchy elsewhere, like at the waist or lower legs, but to my eye they're not slouchy pants unless the hip and thigh region are slouchy.</p> <p>This reminds me of last weekend, when I said to my fiance, "Oh, I'm going to wear my slouchy clams today" and he expressed skepticism that they were indeed slouchy when I showed them to him (he said they were just "relaxed fit pleated pants"). Not quite sure what he thinks is slouchy ... I think he had something like sloppy sweatpants in mind and was relieved that mine were nothing like that! Or they could be well worn eans that are oversized in the waist and thighs and so ride lower - i.e. slouchy.
