I'd roll them a little longer than 1-2 even. The shorter length is nice, but limited to warmer temps and you'd want to shorten them again to reduce the bulk of the roll. I like that you can still wear them normal length. That gives them a taper, but lets you maintain the straight leg if it works better for you for the longer length. I say a discussion on this earlier on the forum. Just search for "pegging" or "pegged" jeans.
