Thanks Tracey. You're right, I already discovered that I feel differently about wearing these pieces in comparison to my other jewelry.

Thanks Sarah.

Thanks Gaylene! It really is - I love it already. I can see myself wearing this one for a long time too.

Thanks Moira! Good idea about taking it with me to try different things, I'll do that. I'll also have them look at the clasp, maybe I'll have it repaired if it's not too expensive.

Thanks Lyn! The biggest item of her I kept is also sort of fashion related, one of her old Singer sewing machines. Although it's still at my parent's house because I don't have the space I'd need for it at the moment.

Take that pendant to a jewelry store and try it on with a few chains and see what shows it off the best. Get them to look at the clasp on that necklace too.

I also got some things from my mom after she was gone and they are my treasures.

I love that scarf. It looks like a peacock. Just beautiful.

That silver bracelet is gorgeous. It looks similar to one that my husband bought for me when we were in Copenhagen in the 70s and is still is one of my favourite pieces of jewelry.

Thanks! Yes, I remember her wearing these. I agree that the length looks good, I'll try it with a thicker chain. I also like the idea of a hard wire, I can see it working well with this kind of pendant.

Hi Astrid, the scarf is lovely and so is the bracelet. What nice keepsakes from your grandmother - do you remember her wearing any of these things? I like the pendant on the length of chain you have, but it could be a little thicker. Some people like to wear their pendants on a hard wire, slightly longer than choker length. You'll have some fun playing around with it, I'm sure.
Just adding, check out the silver wire that Mo has for her pendant- that would look great on you!

We had to sort through my grandma's house recently and I kept some things, some jewelry and a scarf and some non-fashion related items too. I wasn't able to find the chain she wore this pendant with and I don't have one that fits. This one is too fine I think. What kind of chain would you get for it and what length would be best?

Also a scarf she wore a lot when I was little and a fantastic heavy silver bracelet. I also have the matching necklace, but the clasp is broken.
