You could also always make it dressier with a jacket on top. To my eye, it is indeed the way you've knotted the belt that casualizes the outfit. Adding a topper would hopefully hide the long end too? The pencil skirt is more dressy/ business casual and the top and knotted belt are very casual. I find that I struggle with that a lot.<br /> I do like #1 better, I find that the black collar fights with the belt. A black cardigan or jacket would help make this more work appropriate. I also like the belt too, it's a nice organic touch to a very graphic modern outfit.
