Thanks, everyone - now I can search for them. Lisa, I can see how that could be the case - everyone's ears have a different shape and need a different amount of distance and angle.

Ear jackets. I have a pair. The problem Lisa describes is real but my back part has three spaces so you can adjust to fit your earlobe.

You know what the problem is with these style of earring - and this I discovered AFTER I bought a second version of this look and of course can't return them- .....How the part that functions as the backing and hangs down from your earlobe actually "fits" and hugs your lobe all depends on how long that stem bit is, and how the whole thing fits on your earlobe. Does this make sense? On one pair I bought, the stem could be seen and the second diamond-y thing was hanging too far down below my ear lobe. That really bugged me - and I never would have stopped to consider this as the first pair i bought luckily fit perfectly. Grr.

Other than that - I really like this look . Lol.

Like Sara L -- I have seen them described as ear jackets. I have also seen them referred to as suspension stud earrings.

I've been seeing these two-ended (?) type small earrings a lot in ads and magazines and such recently, and I think they're really cute - they're not crawlers because they don't go up the ear, but there's some detail on the back which is visible below the earlobe. Any ideas what they're called, or who might sell them?

Example on Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Lisa Eldridge's newest makeup tutorial: http://www.lisaeldridge.com/vi.....d-glowy-ma...
