I agree, it is in no way an accurate indication of the actual look of a fabric or item. The styling of ordinary tops is so over "sexified" that I can't tell what the shirts actually look like sometimes. They unbutton, tie up, leave open to bare a bikini top or what-have-you. Then there are the model poses.
