Kellee, thanks - I'm glad I decided to keep the cardi, too. I hope I'll get lots of wear out of it this spring/summer. Right now I feel like it's still too cold for short sleeves!

Asha, most of the time I try to avoid ruffles and ruching and any bust detail, but sometimes I just don't care and wear them anyway. I wonder if it works better (as Inge pointed out) if the neckline/ruffles are in a V-neck shape, or if the ruffles are small/not too voluminous like Kristen suggested. Maybe we can both experiment!

You've inspired me to try on a v-neck ruffly blouse with small ruffles. It looks so good on you, as does everything else from your week. I think ruffles are so sweet and girly, but I automatically shun them when shopping because of the busty thing. Who knows? After seeing yours, I think it's worth a try.

I am so glad that you decided to keep the green cardi.
Great pashima scarves.
I like many of the Express items you wore... I see a need to increase my reconnaissance outings in the near future. I am looking for some cardi’s for the spring/summer. Thanks for the inspiration and the posts.

Thanks, Kristen! I'm longing to incorporate more color in my outfits rather than just basing my wardrobe around one color - the concept is kind of new to me, so thank you for letting me know what worked best.

I highly doubt you looked like a linebacker, but ATL has lots of other cute cardis with less puffy shoulder detail, and they also have flower pins that you can buy separately (which might be more versatile.) Since you have a need to buy outfits more frequently than I do, I just wanted to point this out in case you're looking for more cardigans. You happen to look awesome in cardis as well. And I'm trying to copy your belted cardigan looks with my own pieces.

I see your point about ruffle size. Inge also pointed out that it's a V-neckline, which might help minimize the voluminous effect of the ruffles. It's good to know that we have some options for romantic, ruffly details!

The hatboxes sound great. I'm kind of an organizational nut, so I'm always pulling things out of drawers or shelves and rearranging them to see what makes the most sense depending on how I use them. The only issue I have with opaque boxes (like shoe boxes) is that if I have too many, I need to put a visual on the outside of the box (like a photo of my shoes) so I'm not fumbling through boxes trying to figure out what's what!

Kari, super week! Love the brown and red combo of the last day, and the orange-red pashima on top sounds like it was the cherry on a perfect sundae! The pink, black and grey was also a great color combo and outfit.

The new green cardi is a keeper, for sure. The color works on you, and the ruching and the pin is very flattering on your shoulders. I tried the same one and looked like a linebacker, LOL. I actually like it with the plain tee under instead of the ruffled blouse, only because the pretty detail of the cardi stands out more.

Re: ruffles on busty gals -- I find that it all depends on the cut of the blouse and the size of the ruffles. Usually the large ones look terrible on me, but smaller, more delicate ones like what you have on your shirt are fine. Something about larger ones and the cut of the those shirts make a uni-boob look on me.

I am inspired by your organization ideas! I have a set of stacked "hat box" type boxes that I used to store beloved unworn t-shirts in, but that I think might be better suited for my hose/tights and extra scarves. Thanks for the idea!

Okay, with so much positive feedback about the cropped green cardigan, it's a keeper. Hooray! Angie, thanks for adding your final seal of approval - I'd have a hard time letting go of anything with a "killer" rating.

After this, I'm determined not to buy any more tops until end of summer unless I have a specific, essential need for one. I'm back on my shopping ban and will buy the rest of my bridesmaid's dress and a pair of shoes for the wedding. I might relent for a perfect pair of gray or white walking trousers/city shorts, 8-hour flats at a bargain (if I find the right pair at the right time), perfect wool microcheck work pants (didn't find any this season). Possibly a great deal for a flattering bathing suit or low-heeled boots. Other than that, barring any unforseen wardrobe changes, I should be set for the next six months!

Antje, thanks! I think the rest of my wardrobe has fallen in love with this cardigan and am relatively sure it will stay, but since I didn't plan on buying it I really want to make sure. :)

It comes in many colors. There were only a few available in the store I went to, but online it comes in pink, hot pink, pale blue, white, and off-white. http://www.anntaylorloft.com/c.....ory=Misses

You had a great week, Kari. I really like the ATL cardi with the little flower and the cute sleeves, I hope you keep it Did it come in other colors? I might be tempted as well, it looks like a great spring cardi.

Inge, maybe I'm incorrect about this, but I've heard that busty women should avoid ruffled blouses to avoid adding more bulk to the area. This one has ruffles on the bust up to the neckline, but I go ahead and wear it anyway.

Thanks to all three of you for the color feedback. I've been craving bright (jewel tones) or springy (green) colors since the weather is still so dull and gray, and the overwhelming response from family/coworkers is that I should wear these colors more often. I'm taking note!

Yes, I am big on coziness... since I discovered how warm and unrestricting my poly-blend or wool work trousers are, that's all I want to wear.

Monday: the green top truly does look great on you! Love it how the pashmina adds some extra colour to your outfit (and goes so well with the top and the rest of the colours)

Tuesday: I'm a big fan of interesting necklines, so it won't come as a surprise that I love the braided detail. And that shade of green is very flattering.

Wednesday: I adore the playful effect of the cropped vest worn over the red tee (another great colour for you).

Thursday: I wouldn't mind such a lovely blanket to wear to work either;-)

Friday: I'm curious, why wouldn't you be able to wear a ruffled blouse Kari? It has a V-neckline and looks wonderful in my opinion. Great trousers too.

Your weekend outfits look comfy and polished too. And you've just reminded me that I need to figure out a better way to display my jewellery too.

Monday: you really do look super in bright colours Kari. Beautiful cardi and trousers as well!

Committed to the green ruched top that I was trying out last week.

Tuesday: http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....s-day.html
Thursday: http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....rsday.html

Friday: http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....louse.html
Although I'm on an "essentials only" shopping ban, I got an AT coupon ($$, not just a percentage) without a minimum purchase. I was intending to spend it on bermuda shorts since ATL had some cute sateen city shorts on their website, but I could only find capris in the store so I'm trying this cardigan out instead. I'm pretty sure I'll keep it around but haven't removed the tags yet.
