I love your leather jacket!! Blue is a great color for you but I agree the shirt looks a bit too snug and too long with the skirt. I also think there is too much going on with the belt and the boots. Love the other outfits.
I must stress that I think you should duplicate that shade blue. Killer with your hair and complexion!

The skirt is fine but with the boots NOT! With cute sandles I think it would be great. Now dump the belt and wear a cami with the skirt and and the shirt like a jacket open over the skirt and cami. This would look fine on you because your legs are smoking hot as my step son would say.
The leather jacket is a keeper too. Looks great just the way you have it.
I like the animal print sweater but I think it looks too long over the tucked in slim jeans into the boots. Could you pair the sweater with a pencil skirt and some kind of top so you could wear it open. The jeans with the boots are a good look pair it with a girly top. My two cents.

Patience, I have to agree with those who said the skirt is a bit too short. Even though your legs are incredibly toned and tan, sometimes when people try to showcase their best feature it creates a disproportionate look overall. I think this outfit would be more streamlined with a bootcut jean or a knee-length pencil skirt. Also, I am not a fan of the chunky footwear in the first 2 outfits. I think you could create a more balanced look overall by wearing sleaker footwear similar to what you have in the 3rd picture.

I absolutely adore the motorcycle jacket. It emphasizes how small you are. With your legs being a great feature, wearing skinny jeans creates disproportion, especially when pairing with chunky shoes, adding weight that may not be there. Also on this look, you have a very masculine piece in the jacket, which to me means you need to add more feminine pieces for balance. Something lacey, a long strand of pearls, anything pink, or a chic pair of peep-toed pumps would really make this outfit pop.

Everything has probably already been said, but here's my two cents:

The colour of that blue button-down is fantastic Patience, it does look a tiny bit snug in the chest area. It will be great for layering though. I prefer a longer skirt, but love the colour (I think the striped pantyhose would look great with this colour by the way). And that zebra belt is so cute!!

I've loved the black leather jacket from the first time I saw you wearing it, and that hasn't changed;-) The Sweet Pea top reminds me of Spring, so that's good too;-)

And I absolutely love those skinnies and black boots paired with that funky cardigan.

Momwear, work wear,... you rock it all Patience!!

Patience, you looked great! I prefer the second two outfits and think you made a wise decision about the skirt. There's no way I would attempt to pick up one of my kids in that thing without fear of unintentionally offering a peep show to unsuspecting bystanders I love your red shoes!

OK w/out reading anyone else's response...

I think the skirt is a bit short for bare legs. I know it's warm in TX, but would you consider wearing it with tights? Or maybe if you want to keep the legs bare, a pair of ballet flats instead of the boots? (bare legs and boots seems off to me).

I think the shirt fits you well, but I think it's too long for the skirt.

I love the leather jacket with the floral top (is it sweet pea?) I think darker washed jeans would look better. I love those shoes! Maybe you could try them with your skirt?

The leopard print sweater and skinnies w/boots outfit is great!!

My kids are off today too, Laura. I need to take a pic of what I wore the the park.

Thanks, everyone. I think I will give up the skirt because while I don't feel it's terrible, I know I can do better and it just doesn't get worn anyway. That's the only time I've worn it this year.

Angie, the button down definitely feels borderline too snug. I put it on today (and then added a sweater) and I think you're right about it pulling a tad over the bust. I like it for layering, but maybe I will try the white in the next size up and have it taken in at the waist if necessary.

Maya, the boots are La Canadienne-- you're right about every woman needing to own some and I don't even live in a cold climate. I got them last year but I think they have a similar style this year in black

You look better dressed than any mom I saw this morning (and I saw a whole bunch at an indoor playground - every preschooler in the world has the day off today). I especially like the Sweet Pea top with biker jacker. Sweet and edgy at the same time.

I think that you can pull of that skirt beautifully Patience, although I would find it too short for myself, but not for you. Although the shirt is lovely, I agree with Maya that a shorter top might look better with this skirt. The other two outfits are gorgeous! ( I have that sweat Pea top too :).

LOVE the other two outfits! The blue button down looks as though it's pulling across the bosom. Is that your impression as well?

I liked the second 2 outfits and LOVED those red shoes.
I thought the skirt was too short in the first picture and I second Maya on the top length. I think it would have looked better without the belt - just seemed like there were lots of horizontal lines close together. (but I am still getting my eye in with belts) Top looked fine, sizewise and in terms of colour

I don't think the skirt is too short for the situation you're describing. I think the blue shirt fits well too. I'm just not sure about the two of them together. The shirt looks too long, even when belted. I think for me, the general rule is that the skirt needs to take up as much space or more visually than the shirt. Does that make any sense? right now you have a really long shirt with a tiny bit of skirt peeking out. With a longer skirt, you might get away with just belting it, but with this one I think it needs a skirt length top. Colors look fine though.

The other two outfits are sweet. I really like the second one, especially the boots. What brand are they?

I generally tend to post pictures of outfits I wear to work, but I've been slowly working on my momwear look. So I'd like some feedback on some outfits now.

This one I have a lot of questions about. First, I was going to get rid of the skirt as too short but I decided to give it another chance. So is too short for weekend wear? Do the colors work? (Sometimes, I don't know what gets into me.) Also, how is the fit of the button down? I like it a lot and the next size up was just too roomy. I'm thinking of getting it in white but I wanted to make sure it was not too snug looking.

http://i282.photobucket.com/al.....G_0987.jpg

And a couple of other outfits

http://i282.photobucket.com/al.....G_0988.jpg
