I got the larger of the two sizes I usually take in jeans. Actually the smaller of my two sizes wasn't available to try, but these are just right. I tried on a size up from the larger of the two sizes I usually wear, and it was definitely too big. And because of the stretchy fabric, they don't feel too tight on my calves. They feel as comfy as my Mother jeans (high-waisted Looker style), which I love, love. The fabric is very soft, too. The DL1961 fabric was even softer, but I feel this fabric (or maybe it's the sizing of the jeans themselves) is more supportive, yet without being constricting in the least. They feel a lot more fab than the DL1961s, and I think they look better, too. The rise is higher, and the fabric is snappier. Perhaps a little on the generous side. The fabric is very stretchy, and they don't bag out. I wear a 4 or 6 in most pants, and these Mother jeans are a 27.
