You have to pay extra for the Acorn channel on Amazon Prime to get it, but we really enjoyed it. (Lead actor is Israeli.) Then, going further down the rabbit hole with that actor, we ended up with <i>Messiah </i>on Netflix, which was interesting if kind of a mess (and ends after one season with no real resolution, so fair warning...).</p> <p>This week we are binging Grand Designs, where misguided people build their own houses and sometimes ruin their lives in the process. I wish there had been another season.</p> <p>We revisit episodes of "Psych" and "Monk" when the news is too heavy, or we've finished an Israeli series about conflict and special forces and need something humorous. They've held up well, and are still funny.</p> <p>Speaking of Israeli series, we're on the last episode of "Commandments" on Amazon about a platoon of Haredi soldiers going through boot camp. Not sure I've ever watched it all in one sitting. It really is the most adorable movie.&nbsp; My new favorite line is from the Christmas morning scene as the kids go flying downstairs and the narrator says, "We plunged into the cornucopia, quivering with desire and the ecstasy of unbridled avarice."&nbsp; We didn't celebrate the holidays at all this year and it was solidly good to actually avoid the unbridled avarice!</p> <p>Started "Ted Lasso" today - really good.
