I've learned a lot form this thread since I have last year's version in navy blue with black trim and tend to wear it with - you guessed it - navy blue, black, and white, occasionally with patterns containing the same colors. Will have to try it with color too based on the responses you've received.

(And that's the sound of yet another person joining the Cult of Suz! You totally rock Suz!)

I was all set to answer, but of course sweet Suz has you sorted. I love to wear my blazers as a slightly dressier version of a cardigan. And grey? Perfect. Love this choice Meegs!

Thank you! It was that darned trim that was throwing me for a loop, but the way you explained that, Suz, helps tremendously!

This would go with my whole closet! And then some.

Grey, navy, denim, black, taupe, possibly camel or tan. Cognac.
Magenta, berry, cranberry red, tomato red.
Citron, mustard, orange.

Stripes, dots, and pretty much any other pattern.

The trim just means that you might want to bring something blue into the outfit elsewhere -- or something in a very similar colour value to the blue. But it might not be necessary because the contrast between the base colour and trim is not very high so in certain outfits it will hardly be noticeable.

I could see this working well with some shade of magenta or berry, or a warm yellow or citron.

Perhaps you can provide a link to the blazer so that we can see the exact shades of grey and blue?

You can wear it burgundy, yellow, green, just about any color. Grey and blue are neutrals and go with just about everything.

I recently got some great suggestions on my search for a knit blazer. The first one I ordered arrived today, the ponte academy blazer from Gap. I got the gray one with blue trim because I have a deep love of gray. I adore how it fits and love it, but am a bit stymied on what I can wear it with.

I have an ongoing problem of trying to "match" things and fear I'll only wear it with blues and grays because of it having two colors. I can't get a good sense of what else would work, and wonder if a single color would be more useful. Any thoughts?
