They have the black and mink colored ones here in the store in Canada, so I thought I'd see if they were comfy, like Angie asked. I tried on the mink color, although I would have ordered the red ones. Unfortunately, they were not comfortable I felt like I was standing on the balls of my foot, so unfortunately, these won't work. At 5'9", there is no turning back! Over the years, when I was more of a "stay at home/professional volunteer" kind of gal, I had lots of excuses to wear sneakers and flats. I craved the fun and elegance of heels but unless there was an occasion, I didn't go there. Once my kids were up and out (and my toe had been dipped in the fashion business), I decided---noticed the word "decided" that I was going to really dress for me and what I wanted to project. That meant whether I had an "occasion" or not, I went for it. I've added, over the last 5 years, some of hte most amazing heels (boots, vintage stacked peep toes, great wedges, great espadrilles (love that these are back) AND boots! I have to say that I have an amazing array of fun flats and ballet shoes that I also love but when I needt a boost, ha!---pun intended!---I grab my heels. These are darling and sounds like the color would be a nice sublte of pop over a bright red. Wear them to the grocery store, to return library books, and out for pizza. Also, in most brands I've seen, they come in black and a tan color and maybe brown. These were interesting because I liked the red version. In the reviews I've read, the red is more like a brownish burgundy which I think would be a good color. I'm trying not to buy anymore black and I usually wear clothes that are a cooler color, so I don't think the tan would be good. Anyway, this is pretty wordy, I'm just wondering if you think these are a Yay or Nay. </p>
