So nice to see a sweater dress that isn't black or grey! That blue will be gorgeous on you.

I think this would be divine on you, especially with your coloring. And the matching jacket could be very deliberately chic. You may need to be careful with the neckline...perhaps needing to fill in with a chunky necklace or a scarf? Hard to tell. But I like the bold simplicity of this very much and think you could do lots with it...boots, booties, oxfords...

Shiny, my red zipper moto pants were some high end Ralph Lauren line. And they are not conservative! But I don't know the difference between these black label and whatever other lines there are. These are the only RL thing I've ever owned.

I haven't seen the dress IRL but I think that style would look great on your hourglass body. It reminds me of Angie's sad blue dress. Not saying its sad. Hers was on the way out. If its free shipping & returns give it a try.

Yeah, lumps and bulges are a concern. I don't like tight sweater dresses. I'd size up to the PS; my measurements are on the low end of that range.... would be loose on the hips.

I haven't worn any RL in ages and ages. That used to be a good "go-to" brand for me, particularly for pants. I seem to recall that their fit is more conservative (aimed at mature market), so I'm thinking this sweater dress would not be too body con, but would be just-right skimming?

Has anyone shopped RL lately?

I looks gorgeous, but I bet Parsley is right about the lump n bump situation

I like it a lot! A slip could help with the potential bulge issue.

Pretty! I love the color, too.
I imagine that it would not be very forgiving of even the tiniest bumps or bulges. (not that you have to worry about that!- just speaking from my own perspective.)

Oooh, I love the color. And the v neck. And the fact that it is probably not itchy due to the merino wool factor.

These are not the best pics, taken after a long day, and DH (camera man) and I were both feeling quite silly. But I think this dress is a keeper? The V is not too low. Just needs the right slip under it to smooth bumps. I like that it's not too clingy? The fabric is super comfortable --I wish I'd had it to wear today because the temps slipped a lot.

It IS quite matchy-matchy with my winter coat... but if that's on trend, I'm up for it. I also have a grey wool coat for Fall/warmer winter days that will work with this too.

P.s. soon I hope to post DH in his new jeans, also rec'd recently and today... he was not up for a photo shoot just yet.

Original post here:

... Tempted.......except that my winter wool coat is the same color, so that may be too matchy matchy...
