All the surfers wore them after surfing. She bought me my first pair as a xmas present. I did not wear them for a few years, thinking they were ugly as sin!</p> <p>But like you, eventually I caved because my toes were always freezing cold. And, we get so much snow here. </p> <p>I would *highly* recommend you buy the REAL Uggs. Accept no substitutes! There is a difference between the knock-off's and the real thing. The real thing are a lot warmer, softer, more flexible, etc. </p> <p>But if you go with one of the more "fashionable" styles, be careful. You have to go sockless with them - they are warmer that way, believe it or not! </p> <p>In fact, while in Iceland, I tried them with socks - a new pair of socks from 66 North - and after just 30 minutes tromping around the Geysirs, I thought my toes were going to fall off from frostbite. Once I removed the socks, I was perfectly fine and toasty again - and able to tromp through snow for two hours around the waterfalls. </p> <p>As for your Reynaud's, I think your feet will thank you for the Uggs. This is what they first came out with, and my very first pair was this color. I have a pair this color - replaced two years ago, after my first pair finally wore out because my DD "borrowed" them .... and then wouldn't give them up... and wore them into the ground. :-(</p> <p>I also have a pair of black Uggs, which I find works best for wearing with dress slacks when I've got to go into the office and there's snow on the ground. I'll wear them outside and in the car, then switch into heels once inside the office. </p> <p>Finally, I have a pair of off-white, knee-high Uggs which are fake Uggs when the fakes became a big trend. They aren't as warm and cozy as the real ones, but I do like the look of the higher boots and the color. The higher height is also MUCH more practical when we get mountains of snow.</p> <p>So what's the best color? I would say if you want classic, go with tan. Unfortunately, I will worn you that if you go to any high school or college campus, every other girl will be wearing tan uggs!!! So if you want something more "mature" .... then go with black or white. Or try knee-high lace-up styles or the styles that have embroidery.... they even have some with wedge heels... those look adorable with skirts.
