They are also a tiny bit too tall for my taste (I'm 5'3"). So between the gap at the top and the height, I'm worried that I look like I'm sinking into them and that they shorten my legs. I've tried knee-high socks underneath, but it still isn't quite right.</p> <p>There is elastic material behind the buckles at the top. If I buckle them tighter, the material just folds over and sticks out on the sides. I'm wondering if a cobbler could take in/cut out some of that material so that it's not so wide. Do you think this is something a cobbler could fix?&nbsp; I'd probably be fine with the height if the gap was smaller.</p> <p>Any idea how much this might cost? I will check around my area, but thought I'd ask here first to see if it's even worth looking into.</p> <p> </p>
