Well, I haven’t been on YLF very long. I live in Missouri, so I’ve never met Angie. A friend of mine who says she “needs all the help she can get” in fashion found the site and sent it to me back in August. I read a couple of entries then, but it wasn’t until December that I really started reading like crazy. I’m definitely hooked now. I get the daily updates an am slowly working my way through the archives as time allows. So far I’ve made it up through September of 2006. I’ve shared YLF with my very fashionable private voice teacher and my mom. I don’t have any great success stories about changing my wardrobe or cleaning out my closet yet, but I’m working on it. And thanks to Angie and this wonderful blog/forum, I know my fashion persona and will be a lot wiser when it comes to future clothing purchases.

Someone's post about their 10th year HS reunion reminded me how I came to be a member at YLF, and made me wonder how other people found their way here. There have been comments made that some of you know Angie in person, and others are part of other fashion blogs. So, how'd you get here, and tell us a little bit about how YLF has changed you. Here's my YLF story:

It was the fall of 200, I was clueless as to what to wear to my 20th HS reunion. I googled "what to wear to a highschool reunion" and YLF was one of the hits. The site helped me decide to go with black dress pants and a smart casual top. Even though I had my answer, I was hooked. I immediately signed up and started paying alot more attention to my clothes and accessories. A year later, it was my husband's 20th reunion and I was quite confident about what to wear. I used to get dressed in the morning and wear safe outfits I was comfortable in. Now, I don't hesitate to change my outfit if I don't like the way it looks or fits. I try different pieces together that I never would have considered and I wear much more color than I ever have before.

So thank you Angie for all your sound advice, and thank you YLF members for wonderful feedback and the willingness to share!
