Thank you all so much! These ideas have been amazing. I ordered one of those camisoles, and I’ve been looking at the Lululemon sports bras. I’m so excited to actually be able to wear this dress this year! I was so upset last summer, every time I looked at the dress. Thanks again for all your help.

Uniqlo (and I’m sure other places as well) has camis with built-in bras that have shaping/molding to them. This one has straps that can be worn crossed. There are several other options in camis and tank styles - part of the Airism line.

I would try one of those cute strapped racerback styles — the ones I always think look so cute (at Lululemon and the like) but will no way work on my 32G self. I wish they’d make bigger cup sizes in cute styles!

You want a bralette in a complimentary color with a pretty back, something like this:
https://www.forever21.com/us/S.....gIh7PD_BwE

I would go with option 4 on Sals list - wear a pretty bra and don’t worry about the straps - I think I might go for a soft pink colour.

I see lots of women wearing sport bras and letting them show. A bright color would look the least like underwear, or do as Sal suggests and wear a tank top under the dress with one of your regular bras.

I would do one of the following...

1) A cross over style or convertible style - you can get ones with a low back I think.....they are a bit fussy but might work.
2) Wear a plain cami underneath and a bra under that
3) A soft sports bra or bandeau that can be seen
4) A pretty normal bra in blue or pink where you can see the straps at the back.

I would do 4 in the weekend at home or at the beach - I would wear this dress over a bikini for example. If you do this I the bra needs to have nice straps and be in good condition.

I had a similar dress and I did end up passing it on for the reason that it was a bit fussy to wear.

Thanks! I was thinking about trying to find a bra that is meant to be seen. It’s just really outside of my comfort zone! I didn’t think of a sports bra. I have a few - I’ll have to try one out and if it looks ok, see if I can find one in the right color.

Maybe a sports bra then in a color similar to the dress? Like a racerback style?

I tried crossing the straps. But because that bottom hole is so low, you can see the entire strap of the bra, not just part of it. So then I tried crossing the straps and adding an adjustable low back strap - the combo was too much strain for the bra, even with the straps to their full length. It was pulling the bra cups away from where they were supposed to be.

If your regular bra has detachable straps, change them to a crossover way! The straps of the dress are wide enough to hide bra straps.

I bought this dress last spring, and have only worn it once because I can’t figure out how to wear it. The one time I did wear it, I just used adhesive petals. I didn’t really like those - first of all, I’m very small chested so I felt like they detracted from the dress - I need a little padding. There were a few pictures of me taken from the side, and I was completely flat chested - not very flattering. Also, it wasn’t that comfortable. Even though the adhesive was pretty strong, I was worried about becoming sweaty and having them unstick. The dress is casual enough that I’d like to be able to wear it whenever, and not only special occasions.
I’ve thought about looking for a bandeau bra, and just allowing it to show through the back keyhole. But again, I’m not sure if any bandeaus have padding, or they’ll flatten me even more. Or maybe just look for a camisole and basically wear a shirt under it. I’m getting desperate. I’m just not sure. Any advice is appreciated so this dress doesn’t get stuffed back in the closet for another year.
