Thanks, Tanya. I hope she will not sweat too much... I will get her a few different options and she will decide.

I have one of those backless bras and wear it occasionally with special dresses, but I am much smaller at 30D. The support is on the lighter side. It works well enough for me, though I have to be cautious and not wear it when I might be sweating a lot as those clear side panels stick to the skin and the stickiness gets seriously diminished when the skin gets wet.

Thank you, Tanya. I don't think DD will want the long torsoed bra then.
Do you think the backless bra will make her feel with no support? I have never worn one of those things, I generally get a dress that conforms to the bra and not the other way around.

Joyce, I think a bustier is a long-line bra, or corset if you want, like Angie's find #4.

I don't think the back cross strap can be worn with the backless bra you show, as it usually attaches to bra hooks, and backless br does not have any.

Thank you all!
I ordered the fashion tape and the cross back strap, Diana.
-Angie, can you wear the cross back strap with a Backless Strapless Underwire Push-Up Bra? Is that what you called a bustier? If you wear the cross straps with a bustier (provided that the picture below is called that) do you not attach it to you with the tape but only with the strap? Or do you do both?
-Aida, that's such a good idea too.
-Tanya, those are so pretty!
The thing is, it has to be DD approved, meaning comfy and price conscious which makes things a bit more involved. I am trying to help her with this as she is busy with her studies.

I also find Fashion tape at department stores such as Nordstrom and Macy's.

I would look for a "balconette" bra with thinner straps and matching color to the dress (attaching a couple just for the visual the shape). They have 3/4 cups and very wide set straps that look perfect for your DD's dress.

Lots of options. See Finds. You can add transparent straps to the bustier.

You can get fashion tape at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target or Amazon.

Fashion tape:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.....SY200_QL40
There's other brands but this is the one I've used and it works pretty well.

I think you might be able to find a regular bra that will work with that dress. Look for skinny straps and a narrow back band. There's also a contraption you can get to lower the back band of a bra.

There are bras with a u-shaped scoop back, or perhaps a demi with clear straps?

DD got the bridesmaid dress below and now I am wondering what type of bra goes with it. She wears 36C or 34D.
Can cups be added to the dress and if so would they be supportive?
She is not too keen on buying a strapless bra although she may have to. I find those extremely hard to fit, even worse than regular ones.
Please help with this, I need all the suggestions you can share.
Also, where can I find fashion tape?
TIA.
