I like stretchy cotton-y cropped yoga pants for ease of movement, plus they're easily laundered. Maybe go up a size for ease? When summer gets hot, then I go to cropped lightweight cargo capris (with a baby you need pockets). Leggings and jeans get too hot in summer. Rayon pj pants are cool and comfortable, too.

Since you are working full time and caring for a 4 month old, I'd suggest that you buy everything you decide on in one big shopping trip. You'll have to shop again in a few months when your body regains its normal size. Have fun on your new adventure in motherhood!

I wear Ponte pants and jeans most because I like to have pockets. Also cargo pants, upscale track pants, and denim pencil skirts.
A skirt, especially if it is long, may not work very well for you getting up from the floor with a baby. You could trip. When babysitting our 4 month old grandson, I liked the upscale track pants and stretchy jeans best.

I like the legging and ponte selections with a long top if you are on a Skype call or something.

When you get to a stable shape, my go tos are pencil skirt (Borden, Old Navy, Anthropologie, Current Elliott) or what I call "mom jeans." My definition means I CaN be comfortable in them all day, but if I have to run out for a meeting, I don't have to rethink everything. I find that cuts called relaxed skinny are comfortable + presentable, and I have found that a long rise is also most comfortable and versatile.

Oh, and I have a knit maxi skirt that I agree with Kristine is the yoga pants equivalent, but you don't have to change out of it for a meeting or errand.

Good luck and congratulations on the little one!

If you wear a dressier top and use accessories to bring interest to the top half, you can get away with using yoga pants or similar neutral pants. I don't remember ever paying attention to bottoms over Skype. Perhaps play with camera positioning?

If I were working, I would probably wear maxi skirts, leggings and tunics, and maxi dresses. All about comfort when chasing a 4 month old!

Exchange maxi skirts for sweat pants in winter.

I wear leggings, skirts, dresses, capris, and skinny ankle pants (not jeans). It's interesting, I tend to prefer pants in an office but not at home.

I wear knit a-line skirts! I could live in skirts. To me they are way more comfortable.
Currently, I have a gap black one (this one has a wide band to fold over and adjust length), a navy blue knit from Old Navy (this one is really too thin for my liking), and my favorite is one from Athleta. This is my version of yoga pants, but I always feel that if I need to run out suddenly I still look like it is a casual outfit.

Just had a quick look at Next and they have quite a few variations on denim leggings/jeggings in all sorts of Summery colours like red, cobalt, white. They are higher waisted so wouldn't ride down and you could wear a loose shirt/drapey tee over them and some cool earrings or necklace.

I like the leggings / long top solution, with nice shoes or sandals. I would steer away from oversized button downs which could be too casual and instead choose tunics. Because you mentioned skyping, I'd give special attention to the neckline, collared or not.
I can't think of anything easier to wear for sitting, crouching etc and it's a look that can be dressed up very attractively.
Best wishes to you and your baby!

You may be able to find tshirts that are cut generously enough to work over leggings, I do wear the two below like that bc they are long enough to cover my crotch in front and bum in back. Also I have some EF tunics that work well (and launder well too) - all of these I wear over leggings.

I wear my Gap cargo sweats or something similar, sometimes my sweatpant jeans. This is if I am just hanging out at home - I can't stand wearing real clothes just to be in the house, where I'm cleaning, playing with animals, or romping with my kiddo. Sorry not to be more helpful. NYDJ has some really nice ponte bottoms you could try - I wear those to work but it sounds like you could use them for an at home job.

As you know, I work from home and apart from jeans I like ponte knit trousers (nice and stretchy and more structured than a legging)Try M&S for ponte knit trousers as I bet they ship to Norway. Tube skirts are also comfy. Oh, a simple throw-on chambray dress can be dressed up or down too and it's just one item of clothing to think of. Pop a nice necklace in the neck of a dress and you look smart for Skype. For tops I always like a lightweight cotton sweater for indoors on cooler summer days and a smarter tee perhaps (I love Next as you know and they have a nice selection of tees, and ship to Norway too I think). I'll pop back if I can think of anything else

With the exception of capri pants I only wear on weekends during the summer, I wear the same bottoms at home that I wear to work. I made a conscious decision to create a smart casual wardrobe that's suitable for work and home. I have a few outfits that are strictly casual, but most everything I wear is smart casual.

I know we have discussed this a billion times and I appologise for asking this but I am at loss. Currently I am stay at home working mom :). If that makes sense. I am at home, working full time but a mom to 4 month old. So that means I have to dress and be presentable because I have calls and meetings via skype but I have to be able to get on the ground, feed, pacify and play with my 4 month old.
I started wearing jeans but some how my jeans slide down my back and I donot want to flash my butt. This is a problem right now because I have not lost all my weight, and I suspect that I have become more pearish than before. So smart ladies... what would you suggest.

I am in need of your help!!!
