Suekay, cup sizes are not all the same. A 36E is not the same as a 32E (which happens to be my size at the moment), so it's not really accurate to say that any one cup size is "big." It's all relative. A 34E is busty, but it's not as enormous as it sounds.

I don't think it will affect your shape. If anything you are probably more of an hourglass.

Hi Suekay, I missed this first time around- busy finishing off my dissertation at the moment but anyway... I would recommend taking yourself to Debenhams for a professional bra fitting. Last time I went there, I though I was a 32 large A/ small B but it turns out I'm really a 30C.

Back again :)

I finally got fitted for a bra...I'm not a 36B or C, I'm a 34E!

Thing is...my boobs don't look that big and I don't have much of a cleavage...but the bra definitely fits!

Dumb question but will this measurement affect what body type I thought I was?

Hmmm. I'd go to a reputable department store first, or specialty lingerie shop for that matter. Let us know how it goes.

Hmm, I am completely unfamiliar with Scottish shopping, so perhaps some others here can help you get that sorted. But I think you are an hourglass.

Maya, Angie, thank you for the info.

I keep meaning to get measured...I just never get around to it!

I'm Scottish, so could you recommend a UK store where I could get measured?

Here's some slightly better pics

Welcome Suekay and Maya has you sorted. You look hourglass-y but I can’t be sure. Perhaps you’d like to take a better picture and we can have another go?

A professional bra fitting is a must. This is where good style starts. I wouldn’t have guessed you were a B cup. Get yourself off to Nordstrom or a specialty lingerie shop as soon as you can. (Give VS a miss). Chances are high you are smaller in band width and larger in cup size. 60% of all American woman are in the correct bra size. That’s quite a statistic.

Welcome Suekay. It's kind of hard to tell from those pictures. A straight-on shot in tight-fitting jeans and a cami or tshirt is usually best. You look like an hourglass from what I can tell, but I am not an expert by any stretch.

You say you have a low bust, and that you haven't been measured. That sure sounds like a red flag for wearing the wrong bra size to me. It's nothing out of the ordinary actually. Most women seem to have this problem, and the usual culprit is a band size that is too big and a cup size that is too small. Before I had a fitting, I thought I was a 34C. It was only after I saw some very embarrassing pictures of what that looked like that I went in for a fitting, and found out that I was actually a 32D. Now my boobs are up where they're supposed to be It's definitely worth it and should be the first thing you do before buying any new tops. You'll be flabbergasted at what a difference it makes.

Hi there,

I'm 21, reasonably slim, but a stranger to excercising. I'm wanting to start exercising and, but I think finding out my body type would help me get started with a regime.

My measurements are 38" 27" 35" My shoulders are neither wide nor narrow but are rounded. I'm between a B and a C cup (I've never been measured)

I'm also quite high-waisted and have quite a low bust

Some (not very good) pictures
