Wearing more delicate shoes (love boots, but variety is nice), midi skirts, and a new floral pencil skirt I bought.

Also interesting short sleeves, love the one's Cocolion posted.

Diana's link is giving me an art project idea. I'm seeing a lot of free-hand painted look florals on silk lately. How hard would this be to do with some silk paint/ink and a white shirt? I've painted silk scarves before using resist to get neat lines and this would be much easier if you are just working very big and loose.

My Spring wardrobe has been on my mind way more often recently. One, because in Arkansas it's starting to get warm during the day (supposed to be 77 next Tuesday!) but it's ridiculously unpredictable (77 next Tuesday, followed by a high of 55 on Wednesday. Say what?!!). And two, my husband and I recently bought a Jeep Wrangler and we are DYING to rip that soft top off and CRUISE! So what better time to be excited about Spring fashion!

First and foremost, I'm ready for more opportunity to actually wear sunglasses! My mother bought me my long-time dream Prada 'Baroque' pair at Christmas 2013 and they are one of my 'pride and joy' pieces of my entire wardrobe. These alone could make me ready for Spring :)

Otherwise, I'm SO ready to wear my warm weather staples: loose fitting tops, little shorts, and strappy sandals or wedges (the only heel I'll ever wear with shorts!). I tend to stick with that basic concept, with additions of maxi dresses, high-low tops, button-down styles in sheer fabrics and bright colors, black, white and fun colors like yellow short shorts, and flowy yet edgy tanks. I'm also excited about my recently purchased distressed white skinnies and black tribal print mini skirt (both from Express) and gray cigarette jeans from J. Crew that fit like they were custom made and perfect with metallic sandals! And I always love a Nautical look-stripes, chain jewelry and Sperry Topsiders!

My style tends to be a little more boho during the warmer months, but still full of edgy touches like jewelry and lots of black (no matter the season!). I like to feel unfussy and easy. I do love shorts, but hate feeling like I'm trying too hard to dress them up, so wedges are my go-to Spring shoe for a change in height! My new pair that I'm slightly obsessed with from Lucky Brand may be SUPER high, but still manage to have an easy, cool 70s vibe. With leather and studs?! Please, I was immediately puddy in the salesman's hands! Haha!

Hope everyone has had a FABULOUS weekend!

Yes! I have Spring fever, too! I know just that feeling. (-:

And...florals - I want to try the floral on floral trend! But I'm so picky about floral prints. I have one lovely watercolor-y silk blouse. I'd love a floral skirt...or, dare I say, a pair of floral slouchy pants?

This is a very timely thread, as in the last week or so my desire to shop has suddenly reawakened. In Feb, I bought only one thing, the Anthro rose print knit moto, and in January I bought my replacement Longchamp (a long planned and needed purchase) and the Blondo boots (another desperately needed item). But I hadn't really been feeling like shopping for fun things until really recently, when it was like a light suddenly turned on. I guess I'm feeling the spring fever now! It's not quite warm enough just yet to wear most spring things here (we may get more snow next week) but it's no longer deep arctic freeze weather. I am eyeing lots of fun things - all of the glorious florals around for spring, breezy tops, and interesting pants silhouettes in lighter weight fabrics like linen blends.

As for what is already in my closet? I am really excited to put away my wool coats and break out my leather jackets. Ditto for putting away snow boots and bringing back the fun, but not snowworthy boots and booties. Can't wait for bare ankle/leg weather to sport rolled BF jeans and booties or oxfords and floaty skirts with midcalf boots.

I didn't mention, but one of my absolutely favorite things about the summer months is not having to wear a coat/scarf/hat/gloves to leave the house!!

I can imagine that feels a very long way off for some of us...but it's a pretty early spring day here in Seattle (first day of daylight savings today - yes, I know it is a crazy concept to ppl outside - and some inside - the US) despite a flood warning still in effect. Hubby is washing the car before the rains come back!

Jenava, your mauve Everlane looks so soft and cozy with your distressed jeans. I want to see you in that tulle skirt, and do hope you make the purchase.

Like Mo, I had a maxi craving and bought an inexpensive cream-navy-coral striped racer back one and I wore it yesterday with my denim jacket and Cons. I loved it for its comfort and casual California vibe.

I'm also looking to improve my denim tribe and I want to add both a light wash and a super dark wash with orange thread in a TBD fit.

A flared skirt could be fun.

Nude wedge heels, when I can find them.

Something in cashmere, like what you're wearing.

Colors I'm sticking with are navy, white, nude/camel, and a bright like pink, blue or coral.

I am so looking forward to putting away the puffer and the snow boots! I can't even imagine what I'll wear when those are gone.

But I know that for early spring I will love wearing my booties again, and later, shoes that are not boots! (Imagine that.)

Also, I can't wait to wear more skirts.

I'm eager to wear my lighter cotton and silk / cotton knits.

BF jeans showing skin (i.e. rolled up a bit).

I haven't purchased anything yet except for a pair of Okalas (which will actually be more like summer shoes for me, since spring is too cool for them); one silk top; and a light merino sweater. Oh- and a pair of taupe jeans.

I hope to add a topper or two. And something in radiant orchid, if I can find it. Apart from that, I won't buy much for spring, per se. It's a very, very short season here. I'll need to gear up for summer.

I am excited to wear shoes that are not boots, oddly enough. And as much as i like my wool coats and Canada Goose Down puffer, I'm ready to retire those for the season. What a winter! But I'm waiting patiently to break out the new cobalt wedge ankle strap shoes, and the Jeffrey Campbell Deetz flats cciele inspired me to get.

I'm excited to rediscover the patterned bomber jacket I got last spring -- it still feel fresh to me, with the floral print, and to mix my white leather jacket with more springy ensembles. I'm also looking forward to breaking out the silky pants I started wearing last year -- it will be a nice change of pace from heavy jeans!

Many of the spring trends don't particularly float my boat, but I am looking forward to lightening my palette a bit and getting some good use out of the new AG Nikki's before it gets hot here. I need to take a look at my spring/summer items (stored in a separate closet for the season) and review what I have for a possible purge/refresh.

Your distressed jeans look fabulous. I've recently dipped my toe into the super distressed jean trend (another party I'm late to). I like your idea of pairing your lavender sweater with bright pink pants. I have a pair of bright pink pants and I think I'll try that too. I also want to try mixing up shades of blue. In years past, I always thought blues had to be matched exactly - how fun it will be to break that antiquated rule!

For me, I think some interesting pastels are in my future. I'd like to add to my current favorites, mint green and light blue, and add some tangerines and a nice bright citron.

And some swingy skirts? Yes, please.

After all the rain here in the UK anything is better than a raincoat!

After dithering over the years I am now settled into keeping to my black and white plus an "in" colour for accessories mode as it makes life so much easier.

Shopping malls have changed the clothes I wear even on a chilly day. The shops are so hot that Anoraks and long coats are too heavy. I now go for trousers, a white shirt and a colourful cardigan/jacket either with boots or shoes. Easy also for trying on clothes.

No pastels for me, however fashionable, as they make my skin look grubby, with the exception of a "nice" pink!

I'm looking forward to wearing fewer layers (which also makes accessories more visible), black and white, blues, some pink (rare for me, and it's almost always a bright or deep one. I don't do pastel pink), and orange. I love orange. <3

There will also be more skirts and dresses, and some shoes will be a lot more wearable on days when we aren't having endless rain...

I'm looking forward to wearing my white skinnies with a new black-and-white top that I bought about two months ago (the top isn't very warm so hasn't been worn yet). I'm also looking forward to wearing my new leopard skin booties and my nude heels.

I also have a crazy mint and maroon striped dress from Anthro that I want to wear. :^)

I want to find some coral and lavender-colored items. So far, no luck! I have found some in the right colors, but the fit was off.

I'm looking forward to walking outside without having to take off whatever is on my feet to put on stompy snow boots; not having to remove a minimum of three layers to get undressed for bed; putting away the g_d__ puffers; and not looking at wool socks for months on end.

But that's setting the bar fairly low, isn't it.

This is the first spring that I am really giving seasonal dressing much thought outside of reducing layers as the temperature goes up :)

I am going to wear more light and bright colors and dial back the black and charcoal gray to a minimum.

Light and pale colors, knit skirts and t's, linen tunics and my new sandals are my current excitements. I felt like my warm weather dressing last year was so blah and I have made updating my warm weather clothes (most 3-4 years old) a priority for this year.

I will soon be wearing my black and white pointy ankle strap flats, my newly purchased pointy navy pumps, and my newly purchased super perfect grey ankle pants, and the navy blazer with rushed sleeves. These are my purchases so far for spring. And the white denim jacket arrived today-prpbably could have gone smaller, but it is roomy enough to wear a sweater under it too, and or layer it, so it is a keeper.

Am currently revising my summer list, but two absolutes are white loafers, and maybe two pairs of Burkies, and black 2 inch or under -maybe wedge, sandals. The loafers I want now, but so far have not found anything that feels exactly right. Am being very careful with all the new shoe purchases since the big purge of cute uncomfy shoes.

Have been seeing a lot of maxis in stores around here-including a moderately high end boutique. Am giving serious thought to adding another -have a black maxi skirt that I love, so maybe a color-or something lighter

Angie, what about dungarees?? (-:

I'm also looking for white jeans, and looking forward to wearing my olive green silk knee-length harem pants again. Also looking forward to more skirts. And my birks with a pedi.

Mo, I'm interested to see how the maxi search goes. I have one maxi that is sort of heavier that I really like; can't wear it in the rain...

I just bought a white boxy knit & a pair of peep toe mary janes, which I found on my search for t-strap shoes. They have a lovely retro vibe which will be wonderful with full skirts. I wonder if I should jump on the ankle-strap bandwagon.

I am looking forward to a couple of color schemes both you and Angie mentioned: all shades of blue, pastels, black&white, navy&white, all white; and hoping to find some radiant orchid.

In
terms of items, that would be light knitwear, new leather motos (if
they fit), ankle strap pumps (wedge for me), loafers, slipper flats and
oxfords, and various fluid woven tops.

Skirts. I tend to wear pants more in winter and for some reason was not feeling the tights this year at all. So I haven't worn skirts much at all since fall.

Now to finally make that appointment to get my legs waxed!

Spring is already in full force here -- blooming almond and plum trees, the Buckeyes fully leafed already, green grass. I need a pedi and maybe 5 more degrees to sport my new frumptastic Birkenstock inspired Zara sandals.

Here are some other things I'm excited about.

To wear my cropped harem pants again.

To wear this new sleeve style (picture 1).

To wear higher rise, loose fit jeans (2).

To find a pair of loose fitting wide leg pants that are tapered at the bottom like these from Celine (3).
