I also believe in buying what works for you, if you don't feel a trend is worth trying don't do it. I mean magazines are telling us it's okay to wear a see through shirt and show your bra. My early 20s self might think that's cool but my 30s self says no way! I might try a slightly looser pant but with slim legs but I'm more firmly a skirt/dress girl. Must be a latent talent I am now just discovering.<br /> Actually I was good at reading trends way back. I kept my skinnies from 1998 and then they started trending in 2004ish. I kept my pointy toe pumps which I am now going to wear and not buy new ones from 2006. Gladiators I feel might have some longevity because they are practical like ballet flats, they stay on the feet and look dressy enough.
